I offer a complete, end-to-end garden design service for clients in and around the Chilterns, guiding each project from initial concept through to detailed plans, management of the build process to aftercare support, so that your garden continues to thrive. We begin with a relaxed conversation about your garden, how you use it and what you’d love it to become. This is a chance to explore ideas, understand your priorities and outline the scope of the project together. After we talk, I will write a brief for your approval and set out the project fees.

A detailed survey records the garden’s dimensions, levels and existing features. I can carry this out on some small-scale gardens and where I cannot, I can arrange this service on your behalf. I will also visit your property to take photos, videos and soil tests to understand the character, opportunities and constraints of the site. This ensures every design decision is rooted in the realities of place.

You’ll receive a clear, creative vision for your garden — including a scaled layout plan, mood board and planting ideas — all shaped around your lifestyle and the character of your site. We will then discuss the design and refine it if needed.

Once the concept is agreed, precise technical drawings, planting plans, and specifications are developed. These documents give contractors everything they need to build the garden exactly as intended.

I help you gather quotes from contractors, ensuring each tender is clear, comparable and aligned with the design. You receive guidance throughout so you can appoint the right team with confidence.

Your chosen contractor constructs the garden, with site visits and coordination from me to keep the build on track. Planting is carried out with care and horticultural expertise, setting the garden up for long-term success.

Once the garden is complete, you receive tailored aftercare guidance to help it establish and thrive. Ongoing support is available if you’d like seasonal check-ins or continued horticultural advice.
